DeLoney arrived at Southern Arkansas University in August 2022 and just over 18 months, the Northwest Arkansas native has assisted football, baseball, men's & women's basketball, men's track & field, men's and women's tennis, softball and volleyball.
During his time as an athletic trainer, DeLoney has developed and executed rehabilitation plans for acute and chronic injuries, maintained appropriate medical kits for home and road contests, recorded and archived rehabilitation progress of student-athletes and supervised athletic training students in addition to day-to-day duties of operating a fully-functional athletic training facility.
Prior to coming to Magnolia, DeLoney worked for two years at New Mexico Junior College as an assistant athletic trainer where he helped guide the athletic department through COVID-19 pandemic. While in Hobbs, DeLoney worked with baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's track and field, rodeo and volleyball.
Getting his start on the gridiron, DeLoney was a student athletic trainer at the University of Arkansas for the Razorback Football program (June '17 – May '18) and was an athletic training intern at Arizona State University for the Sun Devil Football program (May '19 – July '19). Additionally, DeLoney expanded into baseball, women's track and assisted Rogers High School Athletics while earning his undergraduate degree during his time in Fayetteville.
DeLoney is professionally trained and licensed in first aid, CPR and AED (AHA certified), is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), is certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) and holds an active National Provider Identifier number. He is also well-versed in concussion testing using SCAT-5, VOMS and ImPACT.
A graduated of the University of Arkansas, DeLoney received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in May 2018 and his Masters of Athletic Training in May 2020.
