Johnson is entering his fourth season with the Muleriders.

2024 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in one game...Totaled two tackles and one tackle for loss

Personal: Johnson is a native of Plain Dealing, Louisiana and graduated from Glenbrook High School. He is the son of Chere and Brad Johnson and the brother to Hayden Johnson. During his time at SAU, Rhett will pursue a degree in accounting.
