Jay Todd Baker is entering his fifth season with the Muleriders.

2025 (Redshirt Junior): Played in nine games...Totaled 32 punts for 1,430 yards...Had a long punt of 69 yards...Recorded 12 punts of 50+ yards and 11 punts downed inside the 20 yardline...Career long punt of 69 yards against Arkansas Tech on 10/18/25...Recorded 40 kickoffs for 1,690 net yards and 23 touchbacks...Earned First Team All-GAC honors...Harlon Hill Nominee...D2Football Elite 100 winner

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in 11 games...Totaled two punts for 78 yards and one punt downed inside the 20...Totaled 83 kickoffs for 4,686 yards and 23 touch backs...Totaled a career high 13 kickoffs against Northwestern State on 11/9/24

2023 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 12 games...totaled 70 kickoffs for 3,386 net yards and 19 touch backs

Personal: Baker is a native of Magnolia, Arkansas and attended Magnolia High School. He is the son of Carey Baker and the brother to Johanna and Grant Baker. His father Carey played football at the University of Tennessee from 1988-92 while his sister Johanna played tennis at Henderson State from 2015-2017. Baker has been named an All-GAC Academic Award winner three times during his career. While attending SAU, Baker will pursue a degree in exercise science.
