Trussell is entering his second season with the Muleriders.

2025 (Redshirt Senior): Played in all 11 games for the Muleriders...Totaled 28 receptions on the season for 349 yards...Totaled three receiving touchdowns...Had a career high two receiving touchdowns against UAM on 11/15/25...His longest reception of the season came against Oklahoma Baptist on 9/4/25 (43 yards)...Earned Second Team All-GAC honors after the season as a tight end

Personal: Trussell is a native of Florence, Texas and graduated from Georgetown High School. Jacob played last season in Mulerider country after making two stops first at New Mexico and second at SFA before finding his way to Magnolia. He is the son of Danya and Carl Trussell and the brother to Justin Trussell. During his time at SAU, Jacob will pursue a degree in university studies.
