Prior to coming to SAU, Sanders was a four-year letterman at Alcorn State University (Lorman, Miss.). While at Alcorn, Sanders played defensive back as well as wide receiver. As a senior in 2014, Sanders helped lead the Braves to a SWAC Championship as well as the Black College National Championship later that year.
