Muleriders To Begin GAC Play At Arkadelphia Against Tigers

MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Mulerider Volleyball (2-6) is set to begin their Great American Conference debut for the 2026 campaign against the defending GAC Regular Season, the Ouachita Baptist Tigers (4-4). Southern Arkansas comes off its second-straight 1-3 weekend after defeating the Stanislaus State Warriors in five sets and falling to UT-Dallas (3-1), Texas Woman's (3-0), and No. 15 Central Oklahoma (3-0).

SAU Statistical Leaders

The Blue and Gold are led largely on the offensive side of the net by freshman Peighton Killeen with 84 kills and 2.50 kills per set. She is also in the top five of the unit with a .226 attack percentage. With 50+ attacks and leading the group in hitting percentage is Allie Cooper, sitting at .308. 

The squad has two members with 100+ assists, as senior Hayden Pinard has 150 assists and sophomore Kate Schofield has 107. 

Kendall Toliver continues to lead the team in digs, as the senior has recorded 115 digs and averages 3.97 per set. Second is Brinklee Dauenhauer with 91 digs and 3.25 per set. 

Courtnee Morgan has been consistently well on the defensive side of the net with 27.0 blocks, tallying 12 solo blocks and 15 assisted. 

Ouachita Baptist (9/8 | 6:00 PM)

The Tigers enter conference action with a 4-4 record and a three-game winning streak after defeating Missouri S&T, Mississippi Christian, and Union, while only giving up one set. Prior to that winning stretch, OUA pushed the UT-Tyler Patriots to five set. 

OUA Statistical Leaders

The Tigers are led in kills by Sophie Henry, who has recorded 82 kills and has tallied 2.73 kills per set. Through her 171 attacks, Henry has tallied an attack percentage of .327 and leads her team in that category. 

The group looks toward one player to set up their offense, as Mack Bidwell has accounted for 275 assists and averages 9.17 per set. 

Leading the group in digs is Kylie Kisgen with 115 digs and an average of 3.83 per set. 

One Tiger has double-digit blocks, as Sophie Henry has recorded 20.0 total blocks, with 11 solo blocks and nine assisted.
