PLANO, Texas – The Southern Arkansas University men's tennis team wrapped up their first individual action of the fall last weekend at the Collin College Invitational. The men had a successful showing in the event as they looked to kickstart their season the right way.
 
Doubles play
Jonas Sommer and Uwe Diehl had their own successful doubles showing at the event winning two doubles matches and falling in one to finish 2-1 on the weekend. Lucas Nitzschke and Demir Halisdemir made their doubles debut in the event going undefeated winning all three doubles matches they played. Frode Neumann also competed in doubles play winning two matches with Taiki Minamino then fell in his third doubles match this time paired with Pedro Alameida Andres. Pedro Alameida Andres made his Mulerider debut but lost one doubles match with Frode Neumann and one doubles match with William Von Pongracz. Taiki Minamino also had a successful showing winning both of his doubles matches with Frode Neumann going undefeated in doubles play.
 
Singles play
Jonas Sommer went on to win two of his singles matches while his third one went unfinished. Uwe Diehl finished with a 1-1 singles weekend while Lucas Nitzschke won both of his singles matches. Demir Halisdemir won all three of his singles matches to finish with a perfect 3-0 singles record and 3-0 record in doubles. Frode Neumann won one singles match while falling in the other to finish with a 1-1 record as his third singles match went unfinished. Pedre Alameida Andres won both of his singles matches he played this weekend while Taiki Minamino also won both of his singles matches. Balsa Djokovic fell in both of his singles matches. William Von Pongracz lost his only singles match of the weekend.
