Mulerider Athletics Finishes First in Nation in Final Helper Helper Report

DENVER, Co. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders have set a new standard this season for themselves as they wrapped up their community service efforts for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The Muleriders finished the year ranked first in all of Division II for total community service hours topping their previous mark of 2nd in the 2025-26 school year. The Blue and Gold totaled 13,940 total community service hours across all 16 teams. The Muleriders also topped their mark of economic impact, setting a new mark of $503,791 up from $337,984 the previous year. The department saw 100% student athlete participation while attending 183 opportunities supporting 36 organizations.
 
The Muleriders also saw several teams finish inside the top 10 in the nation for their respective sports, including volleyball (1st), Women's Basketball (2nd), Women's Track and Field (3rd), and Softball (6th). Several Men's sports also finished inside the top 10 for their respective sports including Men's Basketball (1st), Football (1st), Track and Field and Cross Country (2nd), Men's Golf (7th), Baseball (1st), Men's Tennis (7th).
 
Among their top 10 finishes in their respective sports, Women's Basketball finished 3rd, while Volleyball finished 5th in the country for all women's teams, while Men's Basketball finished 2nd, Football finished 4th, and Men's Track and Field finished 7th for all men's teams.
