Muleriders Saddled in to Start Conference Action in Arkadelphia

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Mulerider Women's Tennis is once again back in action this week, as Southern Arkansas will head up to Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to begin conference play with two matches in Clark County this week.

SAU at Ouachita Baptist | Arkadelphia, Ark. | Apr. 8 (1:00 PM)
SAU at Henderson State | Arkadelphia, Ark. | Apr. 11 (12:00 PM)
 
SAU Notables
>>> The Blue and Gold is set to begin play in the Great American Conference with a road match against the Ouachita Baptist Tigers on Wednesday and the Henderson State Reddies on Saturday. The Muleriders get their first taste of conference action since last playing against Southeastern Oklahoma State back on May 4th in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the Great American Conference Championship.
 
>>> Southern Arkansas has been on a weeklong break, after taking a weeklong trip to the Gulf, where the Muleriders finished the week with a 1-2 record after falling to Montevallo (2-4) and #2 West Florida (1-6). The unit finished the week strong with a 4-3 triumph against Spring Hill College.
 
>>> Leading the way for SAU in singles action, Taylor Conway has been tremendous, posting a 10-5 record. In doubles, the Blue and Gold have seen production between the duo of Roksana Kokocha and Conway, as the group has recorded a record of 8-5 this season.
 
OUA Notables
>>> The Tigers come into the week with a 3-13 record overall and have already started league play with a match loss at Southeastern Oklahoma State (0-4).
 
>>> With the best overall record in singles action this season, Ruxandra Tolescu has recorded a 4-3 record. In doubles play, Ouachita Baptist has seen the most production from the pairing of Natalia Zamora Caprirolo and Alice Kubler, as the team has accounted for a 3-2 record.
 
HSU Notables
>>> Henderson State begins the week with a 7-7 record overall, while also being 1-0 in GAC play with a 4-3 win against Harding.
 
>>> The Reddies singles play has been solid, with the unit having Emilia Nowak and Jordan Parker leading the team with nine wins each. With the best overall record, Nowak has tallied up her nine wins with just three losses. For doubles action, the best overall record belongs to the pairing of Angela Dorado Marin and Kristina Kozlova, with the two having an 8-2 record. With the most wins, the unit is led by Nowak and Parker, as the duo has accounted for a 9-5 record.
