Box Score MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Mulerider Women's Tennis continued Great American Conference action this Tuesday, as Southern Arkansas took on GAC foe Harding at the Live Oak Tennis Courts. The Blue and Gold ended up dropping the match, with the Lady Bisons winning 5-2 over SAU.
In doubles play, the Muleriders were immediately down one, with line three being retired in Harding's favor. Line one's Taylor Conway and Roksana Kokocha kept up their good work, as the duo defeated Karli Roux and Brooke Coffman with a tie-breaking 7-6 (7-5) score. However, Harding ended winning the doubles point at line two, when Ece Boylu and Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz topped Jolina Mass and Isabella Lazzerini 6-3.
Now down 2-0, due to line six being retired, Southern Arkansas looked to come back, but the group was only able to win two singles matches, in which Kokocha defeated Natalia Alvarez at line two with a 6-3, 6-2 final. At line four, Lazzerini overcame her foe in Ece Boylu, as the Italian overcame the Lady Bison with a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) final.
