MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Men's Tennis team fell in their last match in Meridian, Mississippi yesterday, March 24th to the No. 31 ranked West Alabama Tigers by a final score of 1-6.
The Tigers took the early lead winning the doubles point.
Balsa Djokovic and
Taiki Minamino fell at line three 1-6 followed by
Frode Neumann and
Lucas Nitzschke falling at line two 4-6.
Jonas Sommer and
Uwe Diehl did not get to finish their match at line one but were down 5-6.
The only point of the match for the Muleriders came at line five singles as
Jonas Sommer defeated Sebastiao Vilas in straight sets (6-2, 6-4). All other Muleriders fell at their respective lines.
Lucas Nitzschke fell at line one (4-6, 1-6),
Frode Neumann fell at line two (0-6, 2-6),
Balsa Djokovic fell at line three (6-4, 2-6, 9-11),
Uwe Diehl fell at line four (1-6, 2-6), and
Andreas Seidel fell at line six (4-6, 3-6).
