Box Score MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Men's Tennis team fell today in their Friday match against the No. 5 ranked Washburn University Ichabods by a final of 0-4.
 
Washburn took an early lead in the match winning the doubles point. Jonas Sommer and Uwe Diehl fell at line one (3-6) and were followed by Frode Neumann and Lucas Nitzschke falling at line two (4-6). Taiki Minamino and Balsa Djokovic were up 5-4 in their doubles match at line three, but the teams played to clinch as they did not get to finish their match.
 
Singles play began for the Muleriders as they looked for the comeback despite being down 0-1. The Muleriders were unable to comeback from the early deficit as Lucas Nitzschke fell at line one (1-6, 6-7). Balsa Djokovic then fell at line three (2-6, 2-6) and was followed by Uwe Diehl falling at line five (4-6, 5-7). The teams played to clinch meaning three other men did not get to finish their matches. At the time of clinch Frode Neumann was in the third set at line two (7-5, 1-6, 0-1), Jonas Sommer was down one set at line four (5-7, 3-3), and Andreas Siedel was up in the first set (2-1).

The men will be back in action on Monday, March 23rd as they travel to Meridian, Mississippi for a match against Montevallo University and Meridian Community College. First serve against Montevallo is set for 11:00 a.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. first serve against Meridian CC.
