MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Men's Golf team opens their spring season this weekend at the Houston Classic hosted by Southern Nazarene. The men will play three rounds in three day beginning on Monday, February 9th.
The men come off a successful fall season that saw them notch two fourth place finishes, one at the DBU Classic and the other at the Battle for the Belt.
Luke Cote finished third individually at the DBU classic finishing at -5 under par with 211 total strokes recording 12 birdies under three rounds of play and an eagle while also not recording a single round over par.
Carter Bell finished tied for 6th overall at the Battle for the Belt event in his Mulerider debut at -3 under par.
This weekend's tournament will consist of 17 teams including, Rogers State, Southern Nazarene, Mississippi College, University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, University of Houston, Central Oklahoma, University of Missouri Saint Louis, Dallas Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, Arkansas Tech, Midwestern State, Cameron University, Henderson State, UAM, West Texas A&M, and Harding.
