Box Score MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Mulerider Women's Tennis got home play underway at the Live Oak Tennis Courts, as Southern Arkansas took on Southwest Baptist on Friday afternoon. The Blue and Gold ended up claiming the 4-0 victory against the Bearcats, as Southwest Baptist ended up relinquishing the match following the Muleriders clinching.
Southern Arkansas secured the doubles point, but not easily, as the Muleriders went down at line one with Taylor Conway and Roksana Kokocha falling to Defne Ursan and Isabella Canedo 6-2. Thankfully for the Blue and Gold, lines two and three came in clutch with set wins by Jolina Mass and Emilie Senepart at line two, 6-1, and Victoria Perez and Isabella Lazzerini at line three, 6-2.
Moving on to singles, Lazzerini secured the Muleriders' second point of the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Defne Ursan at line two. The unit then saw Senepart initiate match point with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 triumph over Isabella Canedo. To put it away for the Muleriders, and speaking of dominant, Conway completely swept Ally Bowser with a 6-0, 6-0 showing to clinch Southern Arkansas' third match win of the season.
