Box Score TYLER, Texas — Mulerider Women's Tennis (2-4) have concluded competition for the weekend, as Southern Arkansas took on the University of Texas at Permian Basin for its final match while in the Lone Star State this weekend. The Blue and Gold ended up coming on top in the outing 5-2, marking the Muleriders' second win of the season.
Southern Arkansas took firm control of the match, with the unit winning the doubles point at lines one and two. At line one, Taylor Conway and Roksana Kokocha defeated Dinethya Dharmaratne and Mattea Bowe with a final of 6-4. For line two, Jolina Mass and Emilie Senepart took down Alyssa Glasgow and Peyton Jones with a final of 6-2 to clinch the point.
The Muleriders handled business in singles play as well, with SAU winning four out of the six lines.
For the Blue and Gold at line one, Mass outplayed Dharmaratne, after winning 6-4, 6-2. The Falcons countered back at line two with a singles match win for Fanny Bergstrom over Roksana Kokocha, winning the point 2-6, 6-0, 6-3. Isabella Lazzerini, at line three, snagged the momentum back for the Muleriders with a 7-5, 6-2 victory against Mattea Bowe. To clinch the match for Southern Arkansas, Emilie Senepart secured the win for the Blue and Gold's with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at line four over Alyssa Glasgow. For one more point in the Muleriders' favor, Taylor Conway overwhelmed Paige Sitanggang at line five, winning the fifth point of the match. At line six, Sophia Crosby managed to overcome Victoria Perez with a 0-6, 3-6 final.
