MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Great American Conference action is back inside the W.T. Watson Center this weekend, as the Muleriders host the 24
th-ranked Oklahoma Baptist Bison on Thursday (Oct. 8) and the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm on Friday (Oct. 9).
A Glance at Southern Arkansas
The Muleriders enter the contest at 6-13 overall with a 1-6 record in the Great American Conference. Southern Arkansas comes off a much-needed win against A&M Texarkana last night, defeating the Eagles 3-0.
The unit continues to be led in kills and total scoring by senior
Brinklee Dauenhauer, as the Springtown, Texas, local leads the Muleriders with 171 kills and 201.0 total points. Also, she still has the most service aces on the team, with 25.
Coming off her third-straight match leading in assists,
Kate Schofield has recorded 205 assists this season, having the second-most on the team. The native of Bentonville, Arkansas, recorded a new season high in assists, tallying 25 assists against A&M Texarkana.
Still with the most digs on the team,
Kendall Toliver has accounted for 319 so far. Just under 100 behind her is Dauenhauer, with the fellow senior having recorded 222 digs this season.

Entering the week as the last remaining undefeated team in the Great American Conference, Oklahoma Baptist sits at 15-4 overall with a 7-0 record in the league. The Bison have won five of their GAC matches by multiple sets, as the group has swept three squads in the conference. They have gone to five sets in two matches, those being against Harding and Southern Nazarene.
Oklahoma Baptist has 11 top-four statistical leaders in the GAC, which is highlighted by Rylee Unruh's 50 service aces. With those aces, she ranks first in the league and second nationally. She is also fifth nationally in aces per set with 0.68 (1
st GAC).
The group is also led by Unruh in kills, as she has the eighth-most nationally with 269 (2
nd GAC). Her average of 3.68 kills per set places her second in the league. In total, she has accounted for 332.0 points and averages 4.55 points per set (2
nd GAC | 19
th DII).
With the third-most assists in the GAC and the seventh-most nationally, Emily Boyer has tallied 690 assists this season, being the primary setter for the Bison, as the next highest in assists has recorded 45.
Three individuals have recorded 200+ digs this season, with Elle Parisi leading the way with 267 and Unruh not far behind with 227.
Mackenzie Frazee has been a force at the net, leading the Bison in blocks at 65.0 (19 solos | 46 assists). Her total blocks currently rank her fourth for the GAC, and her blocks per set also rank fourth in the league with 0.93 per set.

The Crimson Storm currently sit tied for third in the Great American Conference, as the group has won their last two league matches, defeating Arkansas Tech 3-2 and Harding 3-0, making them undefeated against Arkansas competition. Entering the week, Southern Nazarene sits at 12-8 with a 4-3 record in the league.
While they have three losses in the conference, the Crimson Storm lead the GAC in six statistical categories. There are many highlights for this SNU group, such as Kate Wright, who currently leads the nation in total kills (346), total attacks (985), and attacks per set (12.31). Wright also leads the GAC in kills per set (4.33 | 5
th DII) and points per set (4.74 | 10
th DII).
Not only has SNU been impressive offensively, but the group is also superb on defense, as Sydney Marquez has the second-most digs nationally with 390, which is only second behind Kaylon Partain from Henderson State.
The team's leader in assists is also the league's leader, as the Crimson Storm's offense is orchestrated by Emma Grace Moddelmog with 726 assists (4
