MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Action inside the W.T. Watson Center is set to resume this week, as Mulerider Volleyball is back for a three-match week at home, beginning on Tuesday. The Blue and Gold prepare to begin their week with a non-conference matchup against the NAIA's Red River Athletic Conference affiliate, the A&M Texarkana Eagles, at 6:00 PM on Tuesday (Oct. 6).
A Glance at Southern Arkansas
The Muleriders enter the contest at 5-13 overall with a 1-6 record in the Great American Conference. Southern Arkansas comes off an 0-2 weekend in Oklahoma, dropping matches at Southeastern Oklahoma State and East Central.
The unit continues to be led in kills and total scoring by senior
Brinklee Dauenhauer, as the Springtown, Texas, local leads the Muleriders with 160 kills and 189.0 total points. Also, she still has the most service aces on the team, with 24.
Emerging in the assists category,
Kate Schofield has recorded 180 assists this season, having the second-most on the team. The native of Bentonville, Arkansas, led the unit in the category for the last two games, with 40 total.
Still with the most digs on the team,
Kendall Toliver has accounted for 319 so far. Just under 100 behind her is Dauenhauer, with the fellow senior having recorded 222 digs this season.

The soon-to-be NCAA Division II affiliates prepare for their only DII competition of the season, as the Eagles go into Magnolia with a nine-game winning streak. The streak is just part of the unit's 10-7 overall record and 9-1 record in the RRAC. A&M Texarkana comes off a season in which the group made it to its second-straight RRAC Championship match, but came out this last go-around.
The Eagles' offense is led by Mia Mata, as the senior has recorded 154 kills this season and averages 3.02 per set. Not too far behind her is Lesley Sanchez, a redshirt freshman who has accounted for 123 kills.
The group's offense runs through two setters, as Ashley Rhame leads the team with 284 assists and Isabella Gomez with 273.
Receiving the majority of attacks for the Eagles this season has been senior Lauren Herz, recording 252 digs up to this point and averaging 4.94 per set.
Three Eagles have accounted for 30.0+ total blocks, with Macyen Doskocil leading the unit with her 47.0 total blocks (7 solos | 40 assists).
