MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Muleriders return to action inside Wilkins Stadium this week for their second consecutive home game as they faceoff against the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers on Saturday, October 3rd. Kickoff is set for 2:00 PM.

SAU Preview
The Muleriders will look to bounce back after a loss last week to the (19/23) Henderson State Reddies by a final score of 7-20. The loss to the Reddies marked the first loss of the
Brad Smiley era to Henderson State.
The defense had a great outing against Henderson, holding a high-powered offense to just 20 points compared to their average of 56 points per game coming into the meeting last week.
Greg Williams finished as the game's leading tackler as he put on a career high performance with 16 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
SAU will look to lean on the defense again this week as they look for a big bounce back win against the Rangers. One big piece of the defense this season has been linebacker
Peyton Sellers as he is currently tied for first in the GAC in total tackles with 43.
Torey Lambert leads the offense on the ground with 170 rushing yards while
Adam Parker leads the passing attack recording 407 passing yards this season.
Jacob Trussell is the leading receiver with 11 catches for 101 yards and one receiving touchdown.

The Rangers under first year head coach Jerry Partridge have started their 2026 campaign 0-4. In their most recent game, the Rangers fell on the road in Ada, Oklahoma to the (RV) East Central University Tigers by a final score of 24-42.
Jacob T. Jones led the way through the air with 215 yards passing and two passing touchdowns. Jayce Morgan led the way on the ground with 62 rushing yards. Cade Reynolds was the leading tackler with seven tackles and one TFL.
