Muleriders Set for in State Road trips

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders (7-9, 4-6 GAC) are set for two in state road match ups this week as they travel to UAM (7-9, 3-7 GAC) followed by a trip to Henderson State (8-8, 5-5 GAC). The Muleriders contest with Henderson State which was previously scheduled for Saturday is now scheduled for Monday, January 26th still at 3:00 p.m.

Broadcast Information
Thursday's game against UAM will be broadcast live on the UAM Sports YouTube channel while the game against Henderson State will be broadcast live on the Reddie Athletics YouTube channel. Both games will also be broadcast live on KVMZ 99.1 FM with Dan Gregory calling all the action.
 
SAU Notables
>>> SAU fell to the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers by a final score of 64-69 inside the W.T. Watson Center on Saturday. Greg Moore Jr. had his best scoring game since 12/4/25 when he scored 22 points against SNU. Junior Williams also had 12 points in the contest while Jair Horton had 10 and was two rebounds shy of a double-double finishing with eight boards. Despite the loss, SAU shot 46.2% from the field, 47.1% from beyond the arc and 80% from the free throw line. The defense also held the Rangers to just 20% from beyond the arc.
 
>>> Greg Moore Jr. still ranks second in the GAC in free throw percentage with a mark of 91.1%.
 
>>> The Muleriders are also back in the top spot in the league from beyond the arc as their 34.4% from three-point range is first in the GAC.
 
>>> The two games this weekend will mark the start of a four-game road trip that sees the Muleriders first matchup of the season with UAM followed by rematches against Henderson State, #20 Oklahoma Baptist, and #18 SNU.
 
UAM Notables
>>> The Boll Weevils come into the matchup riding a two-game losing streak as they lost last week to both NWOSU and SWOSU. Currently they are in 9th place overall as they too look to fight for position in the GAC tournament.
 
>>> UAM is averaging 66.1 points per game while shooting 45.4% from the field, 34.2% from beyond the arc, and 73.9% from the charity stripe. They also average 31 rebounds per game and 5.3 steals per game

>>> HSU is averaging 76.6 points per game while also shooting 48.1% from the field, 28.8% from beyond the arc, and 68.7% from the charity stripe. The Reddies also average 36.4 rebounds per game and 8.3 steals per game.
 
>>> Zaveion Okoh is the team's leading scorer with 252 total points while averaging 15.8 points per game. Xavier Owens is the second highest scorer with 207 points and averages 12.9 points per game.
 
>>> Tyson Whybrew is the leading rebounder with 97 total this season while averaging 6.1 rebounds per game. Whybrew is also the team's leading shot blocker with 18 so far this season.
