Rogers Named NFCA DII First Team All-American Pitcher

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has released its Division II All-American teams, which include the association's first, second, and third team All-Americans.

Out of Southern Arkansas, Brinson Rogers raised her rank from All-Central Region to an NFCA All-American, as the Central Region Pitcher of the Year was named a First Team All-American to the Coaches Association's listing. The Statesboro, Mississippi native is one of three pitchers to be named to the first team list and is the first Mulerider pitcher to be named an NFCA First Team All-American since Victoria Taylor was named a First Team member of the All-American team back in 2018.

The NFCA First Team All-American, D2CCA Central Region Pitcher of the Year, and the Great American Conference's Pitcher of the Year, Brinson Rogers added to her already outstanding resume with this honor and capped off her final year in the Blue and Gold with a 0.93 ERA (2nd lowest in program history), 233.1 innings pitched (5th most in program history), .149 opposing batting average (lowest in program history), 30 wins (2nd most in program history), 18 shutouts (most in program history), and 309 strikeouts (most in program history. Rogers' 300+ strikeouts made her the only pitcher for Southern Arkansas to eclipse the 300 K mark. She is also just the fifth pitcher for the GAC to claim 30 wins in a single season. Rogers was also named the NFCA's DII National Pitcher of the Week four times and the GAC's on ten occasions.
