DALLAS, Tx. – Jeremy Adorno and
Austin Adair have been named to the NCBWA All-Central Region Second Team following their spectacular performances this season for Mulerider Baseball.
Adorno, a senior from Kissimmee, Florida, had a stellar final campaign for the Blue and Gold. The Sunshine state native led the team in innings pitched (95.2), strikeouts (102), complete games (4), shutouts (2), WHIP (1.31), and is tied with
Austin Adair for best win-loss record (7-2). Adorno has had an illustrious career with the Muleriders which has seen him total at least 100 strikeouts in every one of his four seasons at SAU. Jeremey is also the all-time career leader in games started (62), innings pitched (407.2), and strikeouts (461). Adorno also finishes inside the top ten in several other categories such as being tied for first in career wins (35), tied for second in career shutouts (6), second in lowest opponent batting average (.215), second in most strikeouts per nine innings (10.18), tied for third in complete games (16), and sits sixth all-time in appearances (62).
Adair, a senior from Pflugerville, Texas, also had a great year on the mound for the Muleriders in his final season. The lone star state native totaled a 2.98 ERA with a 7-2 record and seven saves on the year. Adair also racked up 40 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched while opposing teams only hit .230 against him with a 1.15 WHIP through 23 appearances out of the bullpen as the main closer for the Blue and Gold.
