SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Mulerider Men's Tennis team suffered a 4-0 defeat against Ouachita Baptist in the semifinal round of the 2025 MIAA/GAC Conference Championship Tournament.
The Tigers secured the opening doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Tim Fischer and Uwe Diehl were defeated 1-6 at line one, while Frode Neumann and William Von Pongracz dropped their match 2-6 at line three. The match on line two, featuring Jinsei Tajima and Lluc Pasqual, was tied 4-4 when left unfinished.
In singles play, Ouachita Baptist clinched the match with wins at lines one, five, and six. Fischer fell 1-6, 3-6 at line one. Diehl lost 1-6, 4-6 at line five, and Lucas Ibanez Martinez dropped his match 4-6, 3-6 at line six.
The remaining matches on courts two, three, and four were left unfinished once the Tigers secured the win. Neumann trailed 6-7(2), 1-1 on line two. Tajima led 6-2, 5-2 at line three, and Pasqual was rallying at 0-6, 5-4 on line four.
The Muleriders now await word on a potential regional tournament bid.
