MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Mulerider Women's Tennis team continued their winning streak in dominant fashion on Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Ouachita Baptist to improve to 13-6 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Southern Arkansas set the tone early in doubles, securing the opening point with strong performances on courts two and three. Amelie Gindl and Maria Fiacan cruised to a 6-1 win at line two, while Roksana Kokocha and Inna Serpukhova delivered a 6-2 victory on line three.
The momentum carried into singles action, where Kokocha made quick work of her opponent with a 6-1, 6-1 win at line five. Fiacan followed with a convincing 6-3, 6-1 decision on line three, and Ifigeneia Kafka clinched the match for the Muleriders at line four with a 6-4, 6-1 win.
Honoka Yoshimura added a 6-2, 6-4 win at line six, while #4 Amelie Gindl earned an impressive 6-4, 6-2 victory over #36 Sadbaroy Kholdarova at the top spot. #24 Josie Holderbach completed the sweep, edging out a three-set battle 6-2, 5-7, 10-3 on line two.
The Muleriders will look to keep the momentum as they travel to Searcy to face Harding on Friday, April 11, with first serve scheduled for 2 p.m.
