MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southern Arkansas University's Men's Tennis team is set to compete in the 2025 MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Championship in Springfield, Missouri, at the Cooper Tennis Complex. This marks the Muleriders' first tournament appearance since the 2021-2022 season, and they enter as the No. 3 seed.
In the opening round, Southern Arkansas will face Northwest Missouri State. The two teams last met during the regular season, with the Muleriders claiming a dominant 6-1 victory. That win featured strong performances from senior duo Lluc Pasqual and Jinsei Tajima at line three doubles, Tim Fischer at line two singles, Frode Neumann at line three, Tajima at line five, and Pasqual at line six.
Fischer enters the tournament ranked No. 50 nationally in singles and was recently named the MIAA/GAC South Division Athlete of the Week, receiving the final weekly honor of the season.
First serve against the Bearcats is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.
