MIDLOTHIAN, Texas - The Mulerider Women's tennis team dominated their doubleheader in Midlothian, Texas, securing victories over McKendree and Western New Mexico.
The day kicked off with a 4-1 win against McKendree. After dropping the doubles point, the Muleriders quickly rebounded with four consecutive singles victories on lines one through four. Josie Holderbach battled to a three-set victory (6-1, 3-6, 6-3) on line one. Amelie Gindl claimed a 7-6, 6-2 win on line two, while Maria Fiacan earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory on line three. Ifigeneia Kafka dominated on line four with a 6-2, 6-0 win.
Against Western New Mexico, the Muleriders swept the doubles competition. Gindl/Fiacan secured a 6-2 win on line one, Kokocha/Serpukhova won 6-4 on line two, and Yoshimura/Corrales claimed a 6-2 victory on line three.
Gindl and Fiacan continued their impressive performances in singles, both earning milestone wins. Gindl won 6-0, 6-3 on line one, while Fiacan secured a 6-1, 6-1 victory on line two with both reaching 40 career singles wins. Kafka clinched the match with a 7-6, 6-2 triumph on line three, sealing the 4-0 sweep for the Muleriders.
