MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Mulerider Men's and Women's Tennis teams continued their winning streak with impressive regional victories over Northwest Missouri.
The Mulerider Women secured a 5-2 win over the Bearcats after clinching the doubles point and notching singles victories on lines one, two, four, and five.
In doubles play, Roksana Kokocha and Inna Serpukhova earned a 6-4 win at line three, while Josie Holderbach and Ifigeneia Kafka secured a 7-5 victory at line one, sealing the doubles point for the Muleriders.
In singles action, #6 Amelie Gindl dominated the top spot with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over #46 Marielena Muench, while #49 Holderbach took down #57 Alva Norberg 6-3, 6-0 at line two.
Kafka battled to a 6-4, 7-5 win at line four, securing the overall victory for the Muleriders. Kokocha followed up with a hard-fought three-set win, 6-3, 2-6, 10-7, earning the team's final point.
The Mulerider Men also came out strong in doubles, securing the point after #46 Mathys Pinoit and Niklas Müller posted a 6-2 win at line two, while seniors Lluc Pasqual and Jinsei Tajima claimed a 6-3 victory at line three.
In singles, #47 Tim Fischer cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at line two, while David Wallechner battled past #68 Antonin Leborne 6-4, 7-6 at line four. Tajima sealed the overall team win with a 6-0, 6-4 victory. Frode Neumann followed up with a 7-5, 7-5 win at line three, and Lluc Pasqual edged out his opponent in a tight 9-7 match at line six. The Mulerider Men secured an overall 6-1 victory.
