EL DORADO, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Women's Golf team competed in the Arkansas Collegiate at the beginning of this week (March 10-11) at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas, earning their second consecutive top-five finish.
The Muleriders' lineup featured Aubrey Marx, Viviana Farias, Taylor-Rose Hubbard, Emma Hester, and Brianna Chamoun. The team made an impressive leap of four spots in the standings to secure a third-place finish with a total score of 641 (+65), recording a 330 (+42) in the first round and a 311 (+23) in the second. They trailed only No. 39 Harding and No. 31 Henderson State.
Junior Aubrey Marx led the way for Southern Arkansas, placing sixth with a total score of 156 (+12) after rounds of 81 and 75. Taylor-Rose Hubbard finished tied for 16th with a score of 161 (+17), improving from an 85 in round one to a 76 in round two.
Viviana Farias and Brianna Chamoun both finished tied for 22nd with identical scores of 163 (+19), while Emma Hester placed tied for 29th with a total of 165 (+21).
The Muleriders are back in action in one month as they travel to Afton, Oklahoma for the Regional Invitational hosted by Central Missouri on April 7-8.
