RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Beau Leonards has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week after his career night against Ouachita Baptist University in game two of their weekend series.
The Frisco, Texas native made his sixth start of the season in game two of the series against Ouachita Baptist and had a career night high night. The senior left hander threw seven complete innings, surrendering three hits and allowing two runs with none earned. Leonards also fanned 13 Tiger hitters in the outing while walking one batter. His seven innings pitched, and 13 strikeouts were both career highs. The outing was also his first complete game of his career as it was the second game of a double header scheduled for seven innings.
