MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders (12-14, 9-11) fell to the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs (14-11, 11-9) by a final score of 66-84.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring in this one taking an early 4-0 lead. The Mulerider offense found its rhythm tying the game at 7-7 just under five minutes into the contest. SAU took their first lead of the half with 14:15 to go in the first half thanks to a
Christian Caldwell layup, 11-9. SWOSU did not let the lead last long as they tied the game up at 11 all. The two teams continued their battle throughout the first 10 minutes of the first half exchanging the lead three times but with 9:30 remaining in the first half, SAU held a 22-19 lead.
SWOSU retook the lead with 5:30 remaining in the first half and did not look back as SAU hit a cold streak on offense. The Bulldogs took a 38-25 lead into halftime after a 14-1 run to end the first half.
The Bulldogs carried their momentum into the second half going on a 9-4 run to open the half. The Muleriders continued to battle throughout the whole second half but the Bulldog offense was too stout tonight never letting the lead fall under 11-points in the second half.

Anthony Igiede both finished tonight as double-digit scorers.
