MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The Mulerider spirit shone brightly as Southern Arkansas University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) granted a wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation – sending Rachael, and her family, on a dream trip to Disney World.
After raising $10,000 throughout the 2025 spring and fall semesters, SAU SAAC members worked together to create an unforgettable day for Rachael. The committee planned and executed a tour highlighting the interests Rachael had shared with them. From meeting student-athletes, The Mulerider, and Dr. Bruno Hicks, to admiring art, and learning about E-Sports, Rachael and her family were showered with excitement and encouragement all along the way.
The highlight of the day came inside the W.T. Watson Center, where Mulerider Volleyball helped SAAC reveal that Rachael's wish had been granted and she was going to Disney World!
