SAU Sports Hall of Fame Celebrated 2025 Induction Class this Past Weekend

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The SAU Sports Hall of Fame and the SAU Athletics department celebrated the induction of the 2025 class this past weekend in Magnolia, Arkansas. The weekend was filled not only with the new Hall of Fame inductees but also with past inductees at the annual SAU Sports Hall of Fame banquet on Friday night inside the Grand Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Center. This year's induction marked the 22nd class of the SAU Sports Hall of Fame.
 
Seven individuals and two teams were inducted into the hall. The 2025 class included, Golden Era Athlete Lesa Ayers-Johnson (Volleyball/Women's Track & Field), Golden Era Athlete Phil Trotter (Men's Track & Field/Football), Modern Era Athlete Helle Leed (Women's Golf), Modern Era Athlete Barrett Renner (Football), Modern Era Athlete Don Unamba (Football), Modern Era Athlete Andrew Whittington (Baseball), Modern Era Athlete Logan Williams (Baseball), and the 1975-76 and 1976-77 Riderette Women's Basketball teams. Both teams mark the first women's team(s) to ever be inducted into the SAU Sports Hall of Fame.
 
These individuals, and both teams, were also recognized at the Mulerider Football game on Saturday (Oct. 11) for their accomplishments.
