MAGNOLIA, Ark.- The Southern Arkansas Muleriders (5-9, 2-6) will head to Western Oklahoma for a two-game road trip as they face-off against the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs (7-6, 4-4) on Thursday, January 16th at 7:30 PM in Weatherford, Oklahoma and the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers (6-8, 3-5) on Saturday, January 18th at 3:00 PM in Alva, Oklahoma.

Series History vs. Southwestern Oklahoma State
The Muleriders hold a 13-14 overall record against the Bulldogs and have lost their last two meetings to Southwestern. The first meeting between the two teams came on January 1st, 2012, a 56-62 SWOSU win in Magnolia, Arkansas. The most recent meeting between the two schools came on February 3rd, 2024, a 75-78 loss for the Muleriders.

Series History vs. Northwestern Oklahoma State
SAU holds a 10-14 overall record against the Ranges of Northwestern Oklahoma State and took a loss in both their meetings with NWOSU last season. The first meeting between the two teams came on November 29th, 2012, a 73-93 loss for the Blue and Gold. The most recent meeting between the schools came on February 1st, 2024, a 72-77 loss for SAU.

Anthony Igiede finished the game as the leading scorer for SAU with 18 points and the second leading rebounder with seven.
Carel Ray Jr. also finished scoring double digits with 16 points of his own followed by
Rashad Bishop's 11 points and team leading eight rebounds.

Anthony Igiede is the team's second leading scorer with 145 points and is averaging 10.4 PPG.

The Bulldogs are riding a two-game losing streak after dropping both games this weekend in Arkadelphia losing to Henderson State by a final score of 87-78 and Ouachita Baptist by a final score of 75-62. In their most recent game against Ouachita Baptist, MJ Warrior led the team in scoring with 19 points and rebounding with seven total rebounds. Kray Rogers also finished the game scoring double-digits with 10 points of his own.
