MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Quality competition awaits Southern Arkansas Tennis this weekend from Summers Tennis Center in Tyler, Texas. The Muleriders take on UT-Tyler on Friday at 10 a.m. (W) and 2 p.m. (M) and battle St. Mary's on Saturday at 10 a.m. (W) and 2 p.m. (M).
The Mulerider Women (4-0) put an unbeaten record on the line against UT-Tyler (1-1) and will take on its third ranked opponent of the season on Saturday when it takes the court against #13 St. Mary's (1-1). SAU and UTT meet for the fifth time since the 2018-19 season with the series in that time tied at 2-2. The Patriots topped the Muleriders 4-2 last spring in Magnolia. SAU matches up with SMU for the first time since the program's rebirth in 2018.
Southern Arkansas takes on two more Lone Star Conference foes after beating two to start the year. SAU defeated Dallas Baptist (5-2) and #23 Angelo State (4-2), before taking down #21 Mississippi College (4-3) in Magnolia last weekend and UT-Permian Basin (6-1) in Dallas.

Lisa Lochter is a combined 3-1 in singles play. Both
Amelie Gindl and
Josie Holderbach have earned a pair of wins at line three. Gindl has won three-straight singles matches. That duo is 2-0 in doubles play at line three, while Berrendorf and
Greta Wallin are 2-2 at the top line.
UT-Tyler's Muskan Gupta concluded action last fall at No. 22 nationally. She teamed up with Allison Schwartz and the pair was ranked No. 21 in doubles play at the end of the fall season. St. Mary's Selina Wu finished the fall ranked No. 15 in singles play in the ITA rankings.
The Southern Arkansas Men (3-2) snapped a two-match losing skid, after starting the year with a pair of wins, by edging past Texas-Permian Basin 4-3 in Dallas. SAU meets #12 UT-Tyler (1-1) for the fifth time since the start of the 2018-19 season. The Muleriders are 3-1, but the Patriots won 4-3 last spring in Magnolia. Southern Arkansas and St. Mary's (1-0) meet for the first time on Saturday.

Matthew Tennant lead SAU with three wins, including two at the top line. Fischer and Copin have recorded a pair of wins as doubles teammates.
Alvaro Soler of St. Mary's carried the No. 48 singles ranking at the end of the fall campaign.
