Box Score SEARCY, Ark. – Mulerider Volleyball journeyed towards northeast Arkansas where the troupe faced their in-state foe, the Harding Bisons. The herd out of Searcy has been a thorn in the Muleriders' side since 2015, the last time Southern Arkansas defeated HU, and that tale continues to be told as SAU is swept on the road for the second-consecutive trip.
Southern Arkansas stuck with the Bisons for the first couple sets, falling by two in both and even pushing Harding into needing extra points in the second. The third set ended up being all Bisons however as Harding ran away with a 4-0 scoring run to end the match.
Senior
Landry Rogers led her group in scoring with her ten kills on the evening on just 23 attacks (.348 hitting percentage). The senior out of Salad, Texas recorded just two attack errors on those 23 attacks.
Three other Muleriders accounted for 5+ kills in
Jada Hudson (6-22 | 1 error),
Lauryn Moultrie (5-9 | 1 error), and
Kayte Delong (5-27 | 3 errors).
Ava Tanner and
Macie Shaver had similar performances in the setting game as Tanner recorded 14 (led team) and Shaver accounted for 13.
Sadie Kabisch's 21 digs once again leads the Muleriders in the category.
Senior
Isla Olivas has another strong defensive game with three assisted tackles to lead the team.
The Muleriders are away from Magnolia for another week, but will return to the W.T. Watson Center October 17-18 for the annual Pink Out Weekend.
