BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Coach
Neriah Brown's Mulerider Women traveled up to the Show-Me State and finalized competition in the 36-hole Central Region Preview hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma State at the Adams Point Golf Club (par-72 | 5,910 yds) September 5 (Tue.) – 6 (Wed.). As the name suggests, Southern Arkansas competed against 16 teams residing within the Central Region that saw seven Great American Conference programs, five MIAA members, and five NSIC teams.
The Muleriders finished the tournament in 16
th with 666 total strokes where they recorded 339 in round one on (Tue.) and 327 during round two (Wed.).
Sophomore
Emma Hester made her return to Blue Springs by placing 42
nd in a 90-golfer field after hitting just seven over par (79) in round one followed up by an 82 (+10) in round two. Hester finished the preview with a total of 161 (+17) strokes.
A native of McKinney, Texas,
Aurea Carlisle kicked off her junior campaign when she recorded 85 (+13) strokes in round one which she then saw improvement by three strokes at 82 (+10) to produce a total of 167 (+23).
Senior
Taylor Rich made her return to fall action since she last competed at the Northeastern Fall Classic in 2021. Rich finished competition in 63
rd after she shot 88 (+16) strokes in round one to then be followed by an eight-stroke refinement (80) in round two that produced a total of 168.
Kelsey Saveall (71
st) started her junior season shooting 87 (+15) which she then improved by four strokes (83) to record 170 (+26) total. Sophomore
Aubrey Marx began her second year at the collegiate level at 74
th after she shot 88 (+16) strokes in the first round followed by a four-stroke improvement (84) in round two for a total of 172 (+28).
Coach Brown's Muleriders look forward to Monday as they travel to the Sooner State for the first of three times this fall season to compete at the Northeastern Fall Classic (Sept. 11-Sept. 12) for the fourth time since 2018.
