MAGNOLIA, Ark – The Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis team suffered a 3-4 loss to Arkansas Tech on Tuesday afternoon in Russellville, but quickly jumped backback into the win column as they earned a convincing 6-1 win over Texas Permian Basin at the Live Oak Tennis courts on Wednesday afternoon. 

On Tuesday, Kalley Smith and Greta Wallin dropped at line one match 6-3 to Daniela Baez and Lea Grinberg in doubles play. Annika Berrendorf and Lena Milosevic topped the Golden Suns 6-4. At line No. 3 SAU Tamiya Lintz and Honoka Yoshimura were defeated 6-1, giving the edge to Arkansas Tech.  

In singles play, Lena Milosevic claimed a win for the Muleriders as she won a close one at line No. 2, 6-4 7-6 (8). Annika Berrendorf at Line No.3 cruised past Aastha Darguade 6-1 6-1. At line No. 4 Greta Wallin gave the Muleriders their third win of the day 6-2 7-5 against Golden suns' Madalena Amil.  

The Muleriders were just edged on Tuesday but flipped the script on Wednesday at their home courts. Coming out strong, the Mulerider Women stormed the doubles court as SAU's Kalley Smith and Greta Wallin took the win at line No. 1 6-1. To secure the doubles point SAU's Lena Milosevic and Annika Berrendorf walked past the Texas Permian Basin's Rhea Singh and Jenny Nguyen 6-3.  

In singles play the momentum continued as wins came from Lines one, two, three, four and six with two matches going to a third set. Both Roy and Milosevic dropped the first set and came back to win the next two sets. Roy dropped 4-6 and came back 6-2 6-4 to claim the win. Milosevic dropped 6-7(6) and pulled through to win 6-3 6-3. At line No. 3 Berrendorf earned the win 6-3 7-5. Greta Wallin brought in a win at line No. 4 6-4 6-0. Tamiya Lintz secure the sixth and final point for the Muleriders that improved their season record to 5-8.
