WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Southern Arkansas Women's Golf concluded a three week stretch of tournament play on Tuesday as the Muleriders finished up their first 54-hole effort of the season at the Midwestern State Invitational from the par-72, 5,836-yard course of the Wichita Falls Country Club. SAU shot 1001 (+57) for the two-day, three-round event. The Muleriders posted Monday scores of 331 (R1) and 325 (R2), before Tuesday's action resulted in a 345.

Emma Hester led SAU in the tournament with a 249 over three rounds. A round two 77 highlighted her effort as finished 39th overall. Two strokes behind Hester finished Aurea Carlisle. Carlisle improved each round shooting an 87 and 84 on Monday to fire a team-best in round three of 80 as she placed 41st. She led the team and was one of eight players among the 59-player field to shoot +1 or better on par-3 scoring.

Chelsea Chow's 252 placed her right behind Carlisle tied for 42nd. Chow was responsible for the SAU's other round in the 70s at the tournament as she posted a round two score of 78. Chow led SAU in par-5 scoring at +4 and Hester followed at +6.

Aubrey Marx placed 44th (80-86-87) and Taylor Rich finished 51st (83-90-96).

Kelsey Saveall golfed as an individual and carded a three-round total at 298.

Southern Arkansas totaled 109 made pars and 11 birdies for the tournament. Chow and Hester each made 26 pars and Marx followed with 25. Carlisle accounted for seven of SAU's near dozen birdies. Marx added two with Chow, Rich and Saveall each recording one.

The Muleriders return to action on April 10 and 11 for the Dr. Virginia Laas Classic hosted by Missouri Southern State in Joplin. Live scoring will be available at www.MuleriderAthletics.com.
