MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Mulerider men easily passed the Emporia State Hornets in Monday afternoon's matchup at the Live Oak Tennis Courts to jump back into the win column.  

The Muleriders jumped out to 1-0 advantage as the double's teams of Sander Jans/Tim Fischer and Ole Valkyser/Gabe Breitenmoser dominated the Hornets at their respective lines. Jans and Fischer topped Emporia's Jordi Bou Sastre and Pablo Carranza 6-1, while Valkyser and Breitenmoser took care of business against the Hornets' Dominik Simunovic and Sergio Vera 6-2.  

It was much of the same for SAU in singles play as the Muleriders did not allow Emporia to put a single point on the board. Jans battled back from a 0-6 first set to move past Dominik Simunovic 7-6 (3) 6-2 to secure the win. Fischer topped Bou Sastre 7-6 (2) 6-4 at No.2 and Wierniezky won at No. 3 with a 6-2 6-3 decision over Belmonte. At No.4 it was Valkyser edging Brown 6-2 7-6 (2). Tennant won easily 6-1 6-2 over Gwendal Mazuay at No. 5. Lluc Pasqual finished of the action at No. 6 with a 7-6 6-3 win over Jaden Tredway.
