Box Score 2 MAGNOLIA, Ark. - It was a tough afternoon for the Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis team as the Muleriders dropped a pair of matches to #12 West Alabama (4-0) and Mississippi College (4-2).
Annika Berrendorf and
Lena Milosevic won at No. 2 doubles by bouncing the Choctaws' Gabrielle Geolier and Emma Roberts 6-3, but Mississippi College took the point with wins at lines one and three.
Berrendorf put the Muleriders on the board with a 6-3, 6-1 showing over Fernanda Cota at No. 3 singles. Milosevic added the final point by outlasting Roberts 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 at No. 2.
Greta Wallin was edged in a three-set match at No. 4, while
Inna Serpukhova's effort at line five was left incomplete in the third set.
In Sunday's opener against #12 West Alabama, the Muleriders dropped the doubles point, but did pick up a line one win as
Kalley Smith and
Greta Wallin won 6-3 over UWA's Ming Deewajee and Haina Franco.
Singles matches at lines five and six went unfinished as the Tigers took wins at lines one, three and four.
Lena Milosevic grabbed the opening set against Franco before falling 6-3, 3-6, 3-6.
