FIRST, SECOND, & THIRD SETS
The Muleriders entered into Shawnee with confidence and momentum from earning their first ten-win season since 2015 after winning the five-set thriller against conference opponent East Central. Oklahoma Baptist did not look over Southern Arkansas in the slightest as they entered the match and took care of their business. In the first set, the Bison 0-3 lead put them into the driver's seat as SAU shortened the deficit down to one a couple times, but would eventually be outran by OBU's offensive power. In the second set, the Muleriders started with a quick 2-0 lead, but after a 0-3 run by the Bison, SAU did not obtain the advantage for the rest of the set. Oklahoma Baptist was led to a set two victory after a couple 0-5 and 0-4 runs. Set three looked to be in Southern Arkansas' favor as it held an advantage until both squads met at 9-9. OBU added a couple of short runs, but as did the Muleriders to start a shootout of a third-set. SAU retained the lead once again at 17-16, but was upended by a 0-4 run by the Bison that assisted the home team to cruise to their third set victory.
