MONTICELLO, Ark. – Southern Arkansas matched a season-high in hits as a team with 15 led by
Jade Miller's four,
Sydney Ward won her 12
th game of the season in the circle and the Muleriders handled Arkansas-Monticello 9-3 on Tuesday to capture the Great American Conference series which began on March 9 with each team claiming a win in Magnolia.
SAU led 2-0 through two innings of play, but heated up at the plate late as the squad pushed across three runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and two more in the seventh for good measure. Of the 15 extra base hits, four were doubles as

Madison Miller,
Alese Casper and
Mariah Hamilton all notched two baggers with
Madison Miller's double opening up the game with two runs to make it 4-0 SAU in the fifth.
Ward went 4.2 in the circle and worked around six walks and two hits to fan six.
Kiana Pogroszewski tossed the final 2.1 innings to strikeout two with four UAM hits scoring two runs off of the righthander.
The Muleriders prepare for their final homestand of the regular season this weekend in Magnolia. Southern Arkansas welcomes in Oklahoma Baptist for a three-game Great American Conference series set for 5 p.m. start on Friday, April 15 with an Easter Eve doubleheader slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
