#10 Muleriders fall 5-2 to #9 North Georgia

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Southern Arkansas Men's Tennis team dropped its second straight match to a nationally-ranked foe on Tuesday. The Muleriders battled #9 North Georgia, but fell 5-2 from Columbus State's Walden Tennis Center. SAU's record moves to 10-3 and Greg Owen's squad will look to bounce back on Wednesday against Georgia College at 3 p.m.
 
Ole Valkyser won in both singles and doubles play on Tuesday. Valkyser teamed up with Matthew Tennant at No. 3 doubles and dispatched UNG's Zach Waldow and Connor Evenson 6-2. At No. 4 singles, Valkyser put away the Nighthawks' Daniel Ostap 6-3, 6-2.
 
The Muleriders' second point of the afternoon came at No. 5 as #58 Sofiane Bah beat Cole Brainard 6-2, 6-3. At No. 1 singles, #19 Sander Jans engaged in a tight contest against #4 Joaquin Benoit before losing 6-4, 6-4. At No. 3, #10 Marko Nikoliuk rallied to force a third set against Waldow but fell 4-6, 6-2, 3-6.
