WICHITA FALLS, Texas - At the conclusion of the second day of the Midwestern State Invitational, the Southern Arkansas Women's Golf team shot a 330 in their third and final round for a total tournament score of 1007. The Muleriders placed 8
th overall for the tournament.
Southern Arkansas was led by Senior
Mackenzy Turner who shot a 76 in her third and final round, giving her an overall score of 245 for the tournament. Turner tied for 18
th place in the tournament and she achieved this placement by shaving a total of ten strokes off of her round two score. The senior's performance on holes three through nine showed marked improvement after she double bogeyed hole-3, bogeyed hole-4, pared holes 5&6, bogeyed hole-7, triple bogeyed hole-8, and bogeyed hole-9 in round one. In her second round, Turner double bogeyed holes 3, 5 and 9, pared hole-4, and bogeyed holes 6,7,8. In the final round, she made par on holes 3-5 and 7, bogeyed hole-6, and then finished one over on both holes 8 & 9. This improvement on the front nine in round three in addition to paring every hole except hole-15 on the back nine contributed greatly to her placement.
Sophomore
Chelsea Chow shot an 84 in round three and had a final score of 252 to place 29
th. Freshmen
Cadence Underwood shot an 88 in her third and final round, giving her a score of 252 for the tournament. Underwood placed tied for 30th

Aurea Carlisle shot an 86 in her third and final round, giving her a score 262 for the tournament. Carlisle tied for 40
th placed in the tournament. Sophomore
Taylor Rich fired an 85 in her third round and had a final score of 271. Rich was able to shave five strokes off of her round two score by improving on holes 14-18. In round two, she bogeyed holes 14 & 16, double bogeyed holes 15 & 18, and triple bogeyed hole-17. In round three she pared holes 14 &17 and dropped a stroke on holes 15, 16, and 18.
Both Chow and Turner shot +5 on all par-3 scoring opportunities which are in the top half of the leaderboard. Turner fired a +15 on all par 4 scoring opportunities and Underwood fired a +16 on all par 4 scoring opportunities both of which are in the top half of the leaderboard. Carlisle led the team in par-5 scoring opportunities after shooting +7. Turner led the team in total pars with 27 and Underwood led the team in total birdies with 4.
The Muleriders return to action in two weeks for the UT-Tyler King Alfred Invite on March 28 and 29 in Tyler, Texas.
