MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The next seven days will be busy for the Southern Arkansas University men's basketball team 11-8 (7-6 GAC) as they are slated to play four games, with the first two coming on Saturday afternoon against Henderson State University 11-8 (7-6 GAC) and on Monday night against Arkansas Monticello 9-9 (5-7 GAC).  This will be the second matchup with HSU this season and the first with UAM.
The Muleriders fell 65-62 to HSU on a last second buzzer beater by Ryan Boyce back on December 4
th inside the W.T. Watson Athletic Center. In that last matchup both 
Devante Brooks (17 pts/10 reb) and 
Jalen Brooks (11 pts/11 reb) recorded double-doubles, which seems to be a trend as of late as the two recorded a double-double in Tuesday's contest against Harding.
SAU comes into Saturday's contest averaging 75.8 ppg. The Muleriders have been led by double-double machine 
Devante Brooks who is averaging 17.0 ppg and 11.6 reb per game. Brooks's 11.6 rebounds per game leads the Great American Conference, as do his 220 total rebounds. 
Aaron Lucas is second on the team with 13.8 ppg followed by 
Jalen Brooks with 12.4 ppg. 
Blake Rogers rounds out the double-digit scores with 10.3 ppg.
The Muleriders are shooting 43.3 percent from (510-1179) the floor and 33.0 percent from beyond the arc (155-469). Lucas leads the team with 39 made three pointers followed by Rogers who has connected on 34 of his attempts.
On the defensive side of things, 
Jalen Brooks leads the GAC in steals per game with 1.95 and ranks second in total steals with 37. Lucas is not far behind as he as totaled 28 on the year. 
Devante Brooks leads SAU with 18 blocks followed by Jalen with nine.
After going on a four game win-streak, HSU comes into tomorrow's game having lost their last three games against SNU (twice) and Oklahoma Baptist. The Reddies are averaging 69.2 ppg and they have been led by Malik Riddle (9.5 ppg) and Alvin Miles (8.4). While the Reddies do not have a double-digit scorer, they do share the ball well as they have six players that have a scoring average from 7.3-9.5. HSU is shooting 43.7 percent from the floor (488-1117) and 31.8 percent from three (104-327).  
Tomorrow afternoon's tip is slated for 3:00 p.m.
On Monday the Muleriders will travel to Monticello to take on UAM for the first time this season. UAM is 1-5 in their last six games and will take on Arkansas Tech tomorrow afternoon before facing SAU.  
The Weevils are averaging 64.3 ppg and are led by a trio of double-digit scorers. Richard Feagin leds UAM with 13.3 ppg followed by Josh Williams (12.1 ppg) and Ray Price (10.3 ppg). Wesley Booker leads the team in rebounds per game with 7.4.
UAM is shooting 45.5 percent from the field (405-890) and 36.4 percent from deep (99-272). Feagin has been the top three point shooter for the Weevils as he has connected on 37-of-98 for 37.8 percent.
