ARLINGTON, Texas - Sophomore Ole Valkyser clinched at No. 4 for Southern Arkansas on Super Sunday in the Metroplex and the Muleriders knocked off Division 1 Texas-Arlington of the Sun Belt Conference 4-3. It's the first DI opponent defeated by Owen's squad since the program's rebirth in 2018-19. 

SAU runs its record to 4-0 in the early going of the season. The Muleriders dropped its first doubles point of the young campaign, but showcased its prowess in singles play winning at lines 1 through 4. 

Sander Jans won 7-6 (4), 6-4 at No. 1. Stuart Rehfuss was victorious at No. 2 with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win. Marko Nikoliuk handled the opposition at No. 3, but it was Valkyser's rally at No. 4 that kept SAU unbeaten after a 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-0 decision. 

The Muleriders return to action on Friday, February 25 in Magnolia for matches with NJCAA #1 Tyler Junior College and Texas-Permian Basin.
