Magnolia, Ark – We're less than a day away from the return of Mulerider Women's basketball in the W.T. Watson Center. Southern Arkansas is coming off a 100-89 win over Lincoln University of Missouri at the Central Region Challenge where senior Diamond Morris led Mulerider scoring between the two tournament games with 30 total points.
Senior teammate Kylie Warren put up 29 point between games against Lincoln University and Upper Iowa University including a 20-point night against LU. True freshman Kylie Minter is making quite the splash, being one of just three Muleriders to have scored 20 or more points thus far. Minter's 23 points are accompanied by a 100% free throw percentage and has connected on four of her nine three-point attempts for 44% from behind the arc.
Southern Arkansas is scheduled to face the Arlington Baptist Patriots in their first of 15-home matched in the 2022-23 season. The Patriots most recent game on November 15 resulted in a 32-101 loss in an exhibition match versus Texas State. A November 12 contest at the University of St. Thomas has served as their only win this season throughout their five games thus far. Jakayla Bradford has led team scoring, serving as the only Patriot to score more than ten points in either of their last two games. She posted 9 points against Texas State and 14 points in their UST match. LaQuesha Clark has also had successful recent outings, putting up the third-most points in the TXST match and second-most points against UST.
