ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Playing in their first of two Great American Conference matches this week, the Southern Arkansas University volleyball team was unable to come away with a win this evening as they fell 3-0 to Henderson State University (25-21, 25-9, 25-15).
Morgan Schuster led both teams with 21 assists in the match, pushing her GAC lead to 445 assists on the year.
Abby Bermudez and
Isla Olivas both collected six kills, while
Landry Rogers came away with five.
Olivas hit .444 with six kills on nine attacks.
Bailey Kirk and Rogers led the defense with six digs a piece, and
Carlin Whaley also chipped in four digs of her own. Bermudez led the team with two blocks in the contest.
Southern Arkansas will return to the court this Thursday when they host Ouachita Baptist University at 6:00 p.m.
