Indianapolis, Ind. – With postseason play just around the corner, the SAU Softball team is the fourth-ranked team in the Central Region rankings, the NCAA announced this afternoon.

The Muleriders are the highest-ranked GAC team in the rankings; they come in behind Augustana, Central Oklahoma and Minnesota State Mankato.

They come in ahead of a pair of MIAA schools, Central Missouri and Rogers State, as well as NSIC school Winona State and fellow GAC school Southeastern Oklahoma.

The Muleriders close their regular season this weekend against Southwestern Oklahoma; they need to better Southeastern Oklahoma's record this weekend to win the GAC regular season championship and be the #1 seed for next week's GAC Tournament in Bentonville.

The top six teams will advance to the Central Regional, which will take place on May 19-21 in Edmond, Oklahoma, hosted by Central Oklahoma.
