Arkadelphia, Ark. – The SAU Volleyball team, competing in the GAC Tournament for the first time since 2015, won set one, also a first since 2015, but ultimately fell to Henderson State for the third time this season, and for the second time, by a score of 3-1.
The Muleriders took set one by a score of 25-17 before dropping the next three sets.
Morgan Gross led the Muleriders with 12 kills, hitting .240. The senior finishes the season with a team-high 129 kills.
Victoria White also recorded double-digit kills for the Muleriders with 11. The freshman ends her maiden campaign with 100 kills, second-best on the team.
Morgan Schuster assisted 38 times, a game-high. She ends her season with 409 assists, averaging 9.98 assists per set; she also recorded 10 digs, bringing her season total to 99. This was her fifth double-double of the season.
Brianna Nipper and
Bailey Kirk broke into double-digits for digs with 12 and 11, respectively. The pair of defensive specialists finished with 136 and 113 digs on the season.
