Arkadelphia, Ark. – The SAU Volleyball team will do something they haven't done since 2015 on Tuesday, which is competing in the GAC Tournament. They open the tournament against Henderson State in Arkadelphia, a team the Muleriders lost to twice this season.
The Muleriders and the Reddies opened the season back on January 26
th in Arkadelphia with the Reddies winning 3-1.
Morgan Gross led all players with 15 kills in that contest;
Morgan Schuster recorded a game-high 38 assists and
Victoria White recorded 13 digs while
Brianna Nipper recorded ten of her own.
The last time the Muleriders were in the GAC Tournament, they made a run all the way to the tournament finals.
Gross is fourth in the conference this season with 3.19 kills per set and fellow senior
Lauren Smith is 14
th in the conference with a .253 attack percentage.
In her freshman season, White is 11
th in the conference with 2.78 kills per set, and her teammate Schuster is second in the conference with 9.97 assists per set.
The game is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
